Qualities of an Effective Mediator
1. Appropriate pre-mediation set-up 2. Maturity 3. Trustworthiness 4. Honesty/Integrity/Ethical standards 5. Prepared/Familiar with issues of parties 6. Impartiality/Neutrality. Ability to maintain and demonstrate neutrality toward all parties. Ability to control own biases, prejudices and emotions 7.
