Integrating the Internet into Your Mediation Practice

This one or two day course will consider how the Internet can assist dispute resolution both as an augmentation to, and, in some cases, replacement of traditional face-to-face dispute resolution processes.

We will discuss opportunities for integrating the Internet into comprehensive dispute resolution systems and how courts, agencies, corporations, organizations, and individuals may consider utilizing the power of the Internet for dispute resolution.

We will consider the extent to which the Internet is an extension of traditional dispute resolution and the extent to which it offers unique qualities and opportunities for dispute resolution.

Finally, we will discuss ethical and policy issues and what the future may hold.
